Mexico City

Reccos

restaurants: lots of great Korean spots surprisingly like Na De Fo (in Juarez), Tacos Ruben in Escandon (life changing), Taqueria Gabriel for the best handmade tortillas i've had, La Vid argentina for some of the best steak i've ever had for like 20 usd, Playas de Sinaloa for seafood

foods: tacos, pozole, chilaquiles, tamales and atole, esquites or elote, mole, mezcal on its own to sip

cafes: Lawa (my happy place), Friëms (aesthetic backyard), Cafe Nin, a must is to go to a local panaderia for pan dulce (sweet bread), so many other good ones for coworking (like Blend Station) if you are working while here

rooftops: Sepia, Palmares Azotea, Supra Roma (great views but i don't like the people there), Aleli (quiet lil gem)

clubs: Zone Rosa is a gayborhood I like, Pan y Circo (reggaeton), Departamento (techno), lots of underground scenes for techno, reggaeton, afrobeats (so just ask me what's happening once you're here and i'll send you IG accounts for the underground stuff)

mercados: Mercado de Artesanías La Ciudadela, San Angel on Saturdays, Coyoacán, Tianguis Dominical De Antiguedades "Lagunilla" (this one is not in a safe neighborhood, so don't go unless you're with people who know what they are doing)

touristy things: i have no idea... cause i don't really like em, but Anthro museum is dope (inside Bosque de Chapultepec, which is also good), Zocalo square in the historic center is popular. Go to Coyoacán (it's an uber ride out of city center but seriously worth it)!

boutiques: Utilitario Mexicano, Incendiarias, Happening, and then a tonnn of thrift shops so just google them, many shops in the Roma Norte area on Calle Colima too
